The cycling (and rain) begins

On the agenda for Monday was a 43 kilometer bike ride down the Danube.   We woke to some rain and cold 40°F.  In fine Austrian style,  we started with a ferry ride accross the river and a shot of schnapps.   What a civilized country.

Despite the rain and cold, we had a nice ride down the river, stopping for coffee and "Fish on a stick" and a raddler (beer and lemonade) throughout the day.   The scenery remaims breathtaking and is even better when the rain stops and sun emerges.

1 -  The Gilbert's getting their ready to go.

2 -  Anyone for. Schnapps at 9am?

3 -  Our ride for the week at our first stop.

4 -  The gang on our second ferry of the day

5 -  The happy group cycling in the rain.

6 -  What fish on a stick, a couple of raddlers  and a happy couple in Austria looks like.
