Today started for Dick and Julie in Stuttgart and Bill, Mary, Beth and Rob in Salzburg. We meet at 4 pm on the boat in Passau, Germany.
The Gilbert's and Knoelke's reported having a wonderful time in Salzburg. The only downside was a little rain, but Beth reported it was warm and dry in the many shops in the beautiful city.
We departed at about 6pm and cruised for a few hours into Austria. The scenery was very rural and beautiful. Tomorrow we cycle about 30 miles downstream.
Everything is going very well. We are still sorting out communications, so if you have not heard from your family members, have patience, but be assured everything is wunderbar!
Picture 1 - The Danube River with Passau, Germany in the background.
2 - First glimpse of our ship, the MV My Story (notice the bicycles on the bow)
3 - Julie soon after departing.
4 - Our first of many meals.... Looks like trouble to me with these messmates and plenty of beer and wine.
5 - A small sample of the river bank. It is much more rural than I imagined.
6 - Dick and Julie with Alex, Kristy, Marlene, Helena and Natalie.
